Country Thunder Records’ vocal group, Heartland, recently sat down with Country Weekly’s Chris Neal to discuss the long journey of making their musical dreams come true. The feature titled, “Playing By Heart,” can be found on page 28 in the September 10th issue with Tim McGraw on the cover.
In the feature, the members of Heartland candidly talk about the 14 years they have spent together working on their dream prior to their 2006 debut number one hit, “I Loved Her First.” Currently the band is working on their follow-up album to be released on Country Thunder Records in 2008 with their first single sent to radio earlier this month. “Once A Woman (Gets A Hold of Your Heart)” was produced by John Rich of Big & Rich and co-written by Richie McDonald and John Rich.
“That song caught our attention right off the bat,” comments lead singer Jason Albert. “When John (Rich) found out what song we picked, he told us that he always thought it was a hit.”
