Dierks thinking about THEME CDs

(EVEN COOLER WOULD BE A DIERKS THEME PARK!!!), uh, nevermind.

Dierks Bentley has made a nice mark for himself during the 21st century, already piling up enough hit singles to warrant his first greatest-hits album. But Dierks is thinking beyond simply being a commercial success. He wants to take chances by doing some music that’s a little left-of-center, and he’s hoping to get a shot at that in the future.

"There’s a couple of records I’d like to do down the road," he told Dial-Global. "One would certainly be an acoustic/bluegrass kind of album. I’ve always cut a bluegrass song on every record and love acoustic records. So I’d like to do something like that — maybe Dierks and Del and friends, you know, Dierks and Del McCoury, or something like that, if he’d do it. But also I’d love to do a live record. Our live show is so different from our studio performances that I think it would make for an interesting record, ‘cause it’s a totally different deal."
