Taylor Swift was in New York about to head over to this the afternoon’s soundcheck for her performance on Live with Regis & Kelly when she found out that she had received a nomination for Favorite Female Country Artist at this year’s American Music Awards.
“Ahhhhhh! I’m so excited about this!” says Taylor of her nomination. “I’m ecstatic about it being a fan-voted award show! I’m still trying to catch my breath because two minutes ago I was dancing around my hotel room!” Taylor is also a nominee for the prestigious Horizon Award at this year’s CMA Awards, which will be broadcast live on ABC on November 7th, the day after the November 6th release of her new project The Taylor Swift Limited Deluxe Edition. An enhanced version of Taylor’s self-titled debut CD, which was released in 2006 and has reached Platinum-level sales, the new package is a CD / DVD dual set, containing exciting new music and video extras, including three new songs from Taylor and a very special behind-the-scenes home movie of her life over the past year, compiled and edited by Taylor herself.
Taylor’s new hit single “Our Song,” is climbing the Country charts. It has also climbed a tree.
