Miranda Learns to Laugh

Things are going great for Miranda Lambert these days with a critically acclaimed album, her second Grammy nomination and a great relationship with boyfriend Blake Shelton.

"It's awesome to be with someone who's your best friend," she tells AOL Music. "He brings out the best in me. And he's a truly honest person. I don't think he's ever lied to me — not even about something small. He gives me a sense of humor. He always tells me that I'm miserable because I don't laugh that much. I have a weird sense of humor. He keeps me laughing all the time. That's the most important thing — to have fun."

Miranda says she's also become more secure in the relationship and doesn't get jealous or worried even though their careers often separate them. "Blake is a very secure person, and he never gets jealous," she says, "so I think that rubs off on me, which is good, because I had the tendency to before. But he really makes me feel confident in who I am, so I don't worry about it."

Blake once described Miranda as "a very real person who hasn't let fame go to her head, a feisty blond from Texas who doesn't doesn't apologize for being who she is." Miranda laughs at the description and says, "He'll deny saying all of that. He always says nice things about me in interviews, and then I'll ask him about it and he'll go, 'I didn't say that!'"
