Taylor Swift Named Country’s Hottest Female By AOL Music

There are indeed bright things on the Horizon for Taylor Swift, as this week good things did come to her in threes. AOL Music has issued its annual list counting down the Ten Hottest Women in country music today, and this year Taylor Swift is ranked at #1. Superstars Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill and Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles round out the Top 5. The complete list is available at Hot Women Of Country Music.

“This isn't solely about setting records or selling records, nor is it about appearance -- it's more about buzz,” says AOL’s Director of Country Programming Beville Darden. “When ranking the artists, it became very clear that the female artist generating the most excitement in 2007 (especially online) is Taylor Swift. Not only has she set records and sold CDs like hotcakes, she has proven that she is not just another pretty celebrity face -- she's an incredibly talented singer and songwriter! 2007 has been Taylor's breakthrough year, and we can't wait to see what this gifted young lady does in 2008.”

Also this week, Taylor topped the 24-million mark for music streams on her Myspace page, thanks in large part to the early popularity.

BOB: Do you suppose she gets a trophy for this?
