Trace: The Author

Trace Adkins, one of country music's top headlining performers, is now adding "author" to his professional resume. The multi-platinum country star is planning to release his first book, A Personal Stand: Observations and Opinions of a Freethinking Roughneck on Tuesday, November 13.

In A Personal Stand, Adkins delivers his maverick manifesto on politics, personal responsibility, fame, parenting, being true to yourself, hard work and the way things ought to be as he sees it. His opinions are shaped from the lessons of his boyhood in small-town Louisiana, what he's learned headlining concerts around the world, his work on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, his near-death experiences, and perhaps the greatest challenge of all - being the father of five daughters.

A Personal Stand: Observations and Opinions from a Free Thinking Roughneck is published by Villard Books, an imprint of Ballantine Books at the Random House Publishing Group. (Kinda sounds like the title to a Jeff Foxworthy book, don't it?)
