Brad Paisley is nominated in three categories for the 50th annual Grammy® Awards, and he'll have a chance to perform on the show when it airs from the Staples Center in Los Angeles Feb. 10.
In addition to Brad, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences also announced today that Alicia Keys, Feist and the cast of The Beatles Love By Cirque Du Soleil will be featured in the telecast. Carrie Underwood was previously announced as a performer on the show.
Brad and Carrie share a nomination for Best Country Collaboration, for "Oh Love"; and he's up for Best Country Album, 5th Gear; and Best Country Instrumental, "Throttleneck."
Brad will be combining those last two categories when he next goes into the studio. He intends for his next album to be an instrumental project, and he's already gotten a green light from Arista Records.
"It's a chance to finally do an album that I've always wanted to do," he told The Tennessean. "I'll have some collaborations and some guests and do some guitar stuff. We can be as wacky as we want to be without finding those songs that need to be commercial."
