George is no stick in the mud!

Or a stick not in the mud.

Kenny Chesney, whose "Shiftwork" duet with George Strait is No.14 on the charts this week, says the famously serious George is no stick in the mud.

"George is dignified, but he's a guy that likes to have a lot of fun,' Kenny tells Dial-Global of his musical hero. "We have a lot of things in common on that end. If I'd ever thought that I was going to do a duet with George Strait, it probably would've been on some song like 'Nobody In His Right Mind Would've Left Her.' And I never did think it would be 'a big ol' pile of shift work.' But I'm glad it is!"

The King Of Country playfully sings that naughty little hook on the "Shiftwork" single. Meanwhile, George is on tour, playing Oklahoma City tonight and North Little Rock, Arkansas, Saturday night. Kenny's "Don't Blink" remains in the Top 10 on the charts.
