Taylor -- At the head of her class

A+!!!

When Taylor Swift won the Country Music Association's Horizon Award in November, she said the moment was "definitely the highlight of my senior year!" Taylor, who recently turned 18, certainly appreciates her position. Many of her peers haven't yet picked a career, and she's already winning awards in her industry.

"All my friends here in Tennessee are getting ready to go off to college next year," she tells The Toronto Star. "I feel like I've already gone to college, as far as being away from home, having to learn how to survive, having to learn so many different things about the industry."

Clearly she's earning high marks in her vocational education. She's currently nominated for a Grammy award for Best New Artist against such acts as Feist and Amy Winehouse. In addition, look for her on TV this week. She appears tomorrow on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Wednesday on Ellen.
